Regulatory and Institutional Review Board (IRB) process

Regulatory services offered by ResearchOne to facilitate and maintain adherence to laws, regulations and guidelines are cruciale to federal compliance. A few services listed below are:

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews and approves research involving human subjects, ensuring that all human subject research being conducting at Wayne State University is in accordance with all federal, institutional and ethical guidelines. 

Wayne State University (WSU) has five separate committees that are constituted as IRBs and have oversight over all human participant research at WSU and its affiliates registered under the Wayne State Federalwide Assurance FWA 0002460.

Wayne State University Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) is fully accredited by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs inc. (AAHRPP).
